Bullying is a prominent issue that needs to be brought to light. Madd Gear wants to create a safe environment for anyone to ride without judgement or issue at skateparks and riding areas alike.
The month of October is Anti-Bullying Awareness Month, and to help combat the issue of bullying, Madd Gear initiated their own movement called "Be Buddies, Not Bullies". During this movement, riders go to skateparks and befriend new riders to help communicate the message of positivity throughout the scootering community. It is a fun bonding event that many Madd Gear fans enjoy since they get to make new friends and also meet one of Madd Gear's rider.

For the first year, we used data from UNESCO & StopBullying.Gov to gather research on the worldwide bullying percentage, which was a staggering 33%. Once announced, story graphics were made for riders to announce the date, time and location they will be at for their respective Be Buddies, Not Bullies pop-up event.
